Whether your computer is only acting funny, is
running slow, or just plain doesn't work, you can ship it here for a
complete refurbishment and makeover. Even if you did not buy your computer
from KickAss Gear, you can send it here for a KickAss repair! And while
we're at it, we can analyze your system to determine what upgrades will
give you the most bang for the buck. Of course we will also overclock and
tweak the system as fast as possible. The best part is, you get to
keep all your old programs and files, just the way you left them.
Note: if you purchased
your system from KickAss Gear, and it is still under warranty, please go
to our tech
support page for more information on returning your system for
warranty repairs.

What we will do: We will first
diagnose your system, and contact you before doing any work to give you an
estimate of the approximate cost, and available options. Then if you
decide you want to upgrade your system, rather than just have it repaired,
we will discuss what options will give you the most improved performance.
Finally, after repairs and upgrades are complete, we will tweak your
system as much as possible, and test it for full stability.
Rates: Our standard labor charge is
$30 per hour, with a charge limit at five hours. That means if it takes
more than five hours to fix your system, there is no additional labor
charge. Typical repair times range from 2 to 3 hours. We also test systems
extensively after repairs and upgrades, and there is of course no charge
for the testing/burn-in phase.
The only other charges include any parts used to repair or upgrade the
system, and the return shipping charge.
Important: Please note that if your
system was purchased from certain companies like Dell, Gateway, Compaq or
Micron, they may contain proprietary parts that we will be unable to
replace. We will still make every attempt to work on these systems, but we
may not be able to replace certain components with the manufacturer's
original replacement parts. We also can not overclock computers from these
manufacturers. If you want to upgrade these types of systems, it may
be necessary to replace the case, as well as the motherboard and
processor.

Important Boxing and
Shipping Instructions:
Please include a note with your computer which includes the following:
1. Your name and return shipping address
2. a brief description of any problems you have had
3. a list of any upgrade work that you wish to have done
Computer systems must be double boxed in order to ensure that they are
not damaged in transit. If you can not do this yourself, it is best to
bring your system to a professional shipping company such as MailBoxes
Etc. They are expensive, but they do a good job. Also do not forget to
insure your computer system for its full value just in case it is damaged
during shipping. |
